Aaron Kearney, M.D. is a plastic surgeon at Northwestern Medicine, specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, body, and face. He is dedicated to delivering personalized care and natural-looking results, helping patients feel confident in their appearance while prioritizing safety and long-term outcomes.

Dr. Kearney completed his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University before being selected for the highly competitive seven-year integrated Plastic Surgery residency at Northwestern University, where he trained under nationally recognized leaders in the field. During his training, he earned awards for teaching and professionalism and developed a strong foundation in both cosmetic and reconstructive techniques.

He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications and multiple book chapters, with research focused on breast reconstruction—particularly outcomes following radiation, implant-based reconstruction, and advanced techniques to optimize aesthetic results. He has also presented his work at regional and national plastic surgery meetings and contributed to research supported by the Plastic Surgery Foundation.

Following residency, Dr. Kearney completed additional fellowship training and returned to Northwestern Medicine, where he now practices at Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital and the Palos Health Surgery Center. His clinical interests include aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, body contouring, facial rejuvenation, and advanced breast reconstruction, including DIEP flaps, pre-pectoral and direct-to-implant reconstruction, and oncoplastic techniques after lumpectomy.

Dr. Kearney’s approach is centered on listening carefully to each patient and developing a treatment plan tailored to their goals.
